Ovell Terms of Use
Last updated: 29 October 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Ovell, a mobile application operated by Luki Digital Ltd ("Ovell," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Ovell, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Ovell.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Ovell. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide (including your date of birth) is accurate.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Usernames must not impersonate others, contain contact information, or violate the content rules in Section 4. We may require you to change a username that violates these Terms.
3. What Ovell is for
Ovell lets you anonymously (or openly, if you choose) write down a worry or thought, "throw" it into a shared well, and optionally receive supportive replies or chat with someone who responded. It is a peer-support and emotional-expression space. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, or emergency services. If you or someone else is in crisis, please contact a local emergency number or a helpline such as those listed at https://findahelpline.com.
4. Content rules (zero tolerance)
You may not post, send, or attempt to post content that:
- Contains harassment, threats, hate speech, or targets a person or group based on a protected characteristic.
- Is sexual content involving, or that could involve, a minor, or is otherwise sexually explicit.
- Shares or solicits contact information (phone numbers, emails, social media handles, or similar), this is automatically filtered.
- Is spam, advertising, or solicitation.
- Promotes or glorifies self-harm or suicide. We take self-harm language seriously: it is never blocked outright, since we don't want to silence someone who needs to express it, but it will show you (and, for readers, the person who receives it) a link to crisis resources, and may be reviewed by a moderator.
- Infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
- Is illegal in the place where you're using the app.
Some content is automatically screened before it's visible to others; some is held for human review. We may remove any content, at any time, that we believe violates these Terms, with or without notice.
5. Anonymity, reporting, and blocking
Ovell lets you post anonymously, but anonymity is not a shield for abuse: our systems always retain the real author of every piece of content for moderation purposes, even when other users only see "Anonymous." You can report any paper, reply, or chat message, and block any user, blocking closes any open chat between you and that user immediately for both sides. Repeated or severe violations result in account suspension or a permanent ban.
6. Chat and replies
Replies and chats are between individual users and are not reviewed before being sent, though the same automated content filtering applies as for papers. Be mindful that you cannot fully verify who you're talking to. Never share real-world identifying information you're not comfortable with a stranger having.
7. Account termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your content as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the service, or created risk to other users or to Ovell.
8. Disclaimers
Ovell is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content posted by other users is accurate, appropriate, or safe. You use Ovell, and interact with content and other users, at your own risk.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luki Digital Ltd and Ovell will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be highlighted in-app. Continued use of Ovell after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Luki Digital Ltd's jurisdiction of incorporation, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to info@lukidigital.com.
